Several people were taken to the hospital after a multiple vehicle crash along U.S. Highway 75 on Tuesday. The accident happened around 6 p.m. at the overpass on FM 691.
Sherman Police Officer Jeff Jones said the crash happened when cars failed to merge into one lane through a construction area. The first car slowed down, but the second car didn’t, smashing into the first car and causing a chain reaction. Four cars were involved in the accident.
Texas Highway Patrol, Sherman Police and Fire, as well as Denison Police and Fire Departments, were at the scene.
Five people were transported to Texoma Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
