When anyone tells you that southeastern Texas is boring, politely smile and take them for an evening drive. This definitely needs to change, because Beaumont is getting quite a name for itself these past few years. Their light show is of a caliber that many larger cities in the US can only dream of.
Running Thanksgiving to early January, the Hanks Animated Light Show is a feast of light, good music, and beautiful scenery. To make the experience even more worthwhile, all of the proceeds go to a children’s charity. So go ahead and put this event into your calendar. Any day in the next two weeks will do. If all the positive reactions coming from all over the region are any indicator, you won’t regret it.
