Get out of the Left Lane, it’s the Law

Our state has a Texas statute that prohibits driving in the left lane of all roads with a minimum of four lanes unless the driver is passing someone or making a left turn.

While many citizens of East Texas are aware of this fairly recent regulation, some drivers still are not. That is why the Department of Public Safety troopers from Upshur, Smith, Gregg, and other counties of East Texas will be out on the roads looking for violators.

So save yourself the aggravation and stay on the right lane whenever possible.
